Audra Marie Mott was one of the first vanners I got to know at the 2014 January So-Cal Slow Ride. I really dug her van then...(I've always been a fan of the Falcon body style) so it's pretty rad 2 years later to actually learn the full story on her van! 

 

The Van was picked up in 2007 from an Irvine Craigslist ad for $865! The seller had about 5 first gen Ford vans and had become overwhelmed with restoring them and sold this one to Audra. When she bought it, it was white with no interior and required engine work but had a straight body with very little damage or rust. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Audra personalized the van by adding curtains and having it painted by a local Whittier painter known for doing low-riders. The bumpers were chromed but Audra eventually sanded them down for a patina look.

 

Future plans? Audra would like to lower it a bit and finish the interior paneling. She has been on the fence about adding a bed as that might cut into her motor cycle hauling space! It's kinda hard to mess with perfection though, I hope it stays about the same as it is now.              JT
